Constant maximum aperture of f/4
A constant maximum aperture of F4 makes the Sigma 12-24 Art one stop brighter than a conventional zoom lens. The one -stop increase provides better low light performance and great depth of field control. Additionally, the constant aperture makes manual shooting easier as there is no need to compensate for maximum aperture changes.
Exceptional optical performance, even at wide open apertures
A combination of a 80mm aspherical lens, super multi-layer coatings; and low dispersion glass consisting of ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion), SLD (Special Low Dispersion) and FLD elements provides the Sigma 12-24 Art with superb optical quality. The special elements combats aberrations, while the coatings reduces flares and ghosting.
Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) autofocus
A newly designed HSM autofocus motor features 1.3 times more torque than its predecessor, and provides increased focus performance throughout the lens range.
Minimum focusing distance of 24cm
Featuring an exceptionally wide focal length range and a minimum focus distance of just 24cm, the Sigma 12-24mm f/4 DG HSM Art lens will enable photographers to capture unique perspectives of close-ups with incredibly expansive backgrounds.
9-blade rounded diaphragm
A 9-blade rounded diaphragm combined with a maximum aperture of F4 provides the Sigma 12-24mm f/4 DG HSM Art with pleasant out of focus bokeh.
